They stood there and punched the goons in the nose for 3 quarters....

I suppose we all had that sense of impending collapse for KU, which is what eventually happened..

but my goodness, I would not have believed it if I had not watched it for myself.

I'm not sure if I feel better about our chances of a win against the goons after that game, or if my fear of the Jayhawks just went way up.

When I watched the KU coach earlier this season, I thought he was going to literally explode by this point in the season, but he's got KU playing some good ball. QB Bean is young, but he's at least managing the game.

If KU can hold the OU offensive weapons down like that, then I shudder to think how they might corral our sputtering offense.

Or, what can our defense do against the Sooners in the last game of the season?

Because kansas is not very good. So if we play bad then we will have a game on our hands. I hope not, we need a game to play more players, play.

Because the risk and reward is so poor.

Talking about what a tough game it's going to be is kind of tough to do. We've all seen ou sleep through a half of football vs a bad team then win it in the 2nd half. So while it was a nice effort ou pulls at least one of these every year.

Talking about how easy its going to be just isn't much fun or the way you want to think as you do know it will be a tough game for some portion.

About the only thing I can say is if you're a betting man bet on KU with the points. We have a good shot to hold them to a shutout, but our O scoring 32+ will keep you on edge for the whole game.

If we do not take them serious, then yes we could have a problem. But I don't seeing that happening. I expect a big win.

Which I don't expect the team to do. So yes I'm expecting a good win.

On the other hand talking about the game you don't want to promise a blowout, and be like a dirt burglar tshirt, nor do you want to intentionally wring your hands for appearance sake. So just easier to stay out of it, and talk about the parade or something.

Seriously what can you say:

We'll kill them and we win 38-0

or

It's going to be a hard fought game but I think like UT we pull away in the 4th quarter.

I think the HS bands are the best part of the Parade, I like it when they include community

When my Grandfather was in school 29-32, their was the marching band, an ROTC band, and someone else on campus had a band. Then you had Stillwater HS's band, and so they'd have parades frequently, not just at HC.

And if you'd spent enough time on the strip you'd have seen an elephant fy.

funny you should mention that.... I've been told that I did spend a fair amount of time down on the Strip...

The Question Mark mostly, put I'm sure I spent time at most of them.... Profit Elrods, Mason Jar, The Attic, Hole in the Wall, some at Willy's but I didn't own a bike, I'm sure I'm missing some... and off-strip, Gray Fox, Stonewall, and a bit at Eskimo Joe's (but it was a nasty place with mostly long-haired hippies a decade late).

what was the question?

Wow....your list put me on a mental trip down memory lane. I was mostly a Gray Fox / Joe's / Stonewall kind of guy, but did spend some Strip time at Mason Jar, Question Mark, Attic, and....how could you not note..... Pistol Patties Back in the day, my brother and brother-in-law were regulars at George's Stable and Spav's

Friday afternoon "liquid" seminars at George's playing pool....Gray Fox PM.....days gone by....fun!!! Kansas is getting their azzes handed to them. I do not remember watching a game where a team did not get a first down in the first half.

Yeah the Jar was the bomb. Loved Prophet Elrod's particularly on roller coaster night. Trying to max out the $1 pitchers!!!! Bucket night at the attic!!!! Casino Pete's.

In '83 we had just on back to back weeks been tied by CU & KU. We were standing on our chairs at Joe's and this guy in an ou shirt walked in right after a spontaneous bought of chanting F*** ou broke out. I've never seen anyone turn whiter, or exit a bar more quickly.
