STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is still looking to land its first linebacker commit in the 2023 class. Well, they potentially got one step closer on Sunday evening as Samuel Omosigho included the Pokes in his top 10.

Along with the Cowboys, Omosigho included Auburn, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, SMU, TCU and USC.

His now list of 10 was reduced from nearly 30 offers.

Omosigho is a 6-1, 208 pound linebacker out of Crandall (TX) High School. He’s currently listed as the No. 517 overall prospect in the 2023 class, the No. 44 athlete and the No. 88 overall prospect out of Texas.

Omosigho was electric last season as a junior for Crandall as he recorded 150 tackles, 11 of which were tackles for loss and four sacks, five interceptions, including one for a touchdown, two fumble recoveries for touchdowns on the defensive side of the ball. On the offensive side of the ball, he was just as potent as he hauled in 42 receptions for 811 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Cowboys currently have seven commitments in the 2023 class, four on the defensive side of the ball and three on the offensive side.
