STILLWATER – Coaches are about to take vacations and the summer dead period is about to take place starting on June 27 through July 24 is a dead period for recruiting. During that time coaches cannot have any kind of off campus contact with prospects or do any evaluations. There are no official or unofficial visits and no phone calls to prospects. Prospects can always call coaches. With that coming up there is a last whirlwind of visits and a number of offers, especially in the class of 2024 that are going out.

Copperas Cove Football
Michael Uini

Oklahoma State offered two of the top offensive line prospects in the nation on Tuesday and those two players confirmed their offers on Twitter on Wednesday as Copperas Cove offensive tackle Michael Uini (6-8, 300) and Arlington Martin offensive tackle Makai Saina (6-4, 275) both were offered scholarship by the Cowboys. Those are the first two offensive linemen to be offered by Oklahoma State in the 2024 class. The numbers show Oklahoma State will not lose many linemen off their roster after the 2022 season, so the number of available scholarships could be slim in that class.

Uini is a huge powerful and athletic prospect that already has offers from the likes of Texas, Alabama, Michigan State. All three of those came recently along with Oklahoma State. Tulsa, Colorado, Arizzona, LSU, Houston, and Texas A&M came earlier.

Arlington Martin Football
Makai Saina

Saina has offers from Texas A&M, Houston, Mississippi State, Mississippi, Nebraska, Penn State, TCU, and Baylor in addition to the Cowboys. Sakai is a tackle for Martin, but he could move inside and is also a possibility to become a center. He is a very smart player upfront.

You would think both players might find a way to get to Stillwater for a game in the fall. That will be the job of the Oklahoma State recruiting staff.

Matching schedules, the best opportunities might be the Sept. 10 game with Arizona State for Uini as he has a Friday game at Manor. Then for Saina, the best game would be the Oct. 8 home game with Texas Tech as Arlington Martin is off that weekend.
