STILLWATER – This is a new game-week series here at Pokes Report called Over/Under. It’ll be five topics with an over/under associated to them. Then you’ll drop your predictions in the comments below on how you think they’ll turn out.

Oklahoma State is looking to go 3-0 on the season as the Pokes are taking on FCS Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday, Sept. 17. This will be the first-ever matchup between these two programs.

Spencer Sanders: Over/Under four passing touchdowns

The redshirt senior out of Denton (TX) Ryan is off to a hot start on the year as he’s gone 49-of-79 for 674 yards and six passing touchdowns, four of which came in one game, to just one interception. He also has 25 carries for 11 yards and three touchdowns. Will Spencer clear four passing touchdowns against Pine Bluff?

Offensive yardage: Over/Under 500 yards of total offense

Oklahoma State cleared 530 total yards against Central Michigan in week one and 460 yards of total offense against Arizona State. This is the game on the calendar where there’s a really good chance you’ll see a lot of third-plus string players in the second half, so will we see the combine with the starters to clear 500 yards of total offense?

Defense: Over/Under 10 tackles for loss

The Cowboys combined for 13.0 tackles for loss against Central Michigan and eight against Arizona State. Tyler Lacy is currently leading the Pokes in tackles for loss with five on the season, with 2.5 coming in each of the first two games of the season. Can the Pokes split the difference and clear 10?

Created turnovers: Over/Under two

The Cowboys’ Kendal Daniels hauled in an interception against Central Michigan and Brock Martin stripped the ball away from ASU’s Xazavian Valladay, which was recovered by Tyler Lacy. So, can the Cowboys combined to bring in at least two turnovers against Pine Bluff?

BP K/P return: Over/Under 20-yards per return

Since the Over/Under on Tom Hutton average punt yards last week did so well, I figured I stick with special teams this week. Oh, the over/under for Hutton’s yardage was 42-yards a punt and he averaged 43.9 yards. Brennan Presley is currently averaging 23.0 yards per kick return and 16.5 yards per punt return. So, to hit this Over/Under, you have to predict if Presley will clear 20-yards per kickoff AND punt return. Be sure and explain in the comments if you take the under.
