STILLWATER – After a slow start, Oklahoma State blows past Tulsa behind 18 points from Bryce Thompson for an 82-56 win.

With the win, the Cowboys move to 4-2 on the season and 1-1 in Stillwater.

Bryce Thompson led the way in scoring for the Cowboys as he poured in 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the floor, as well as a blistering 4-of-8 from 3-point range. Both Moussa Cisse and Tyreek Smith finished with double figures, Cisse with 12 on 6-of-7 shooting with eight rebounds and Smith with 10 on 5-of-5 shooting with seven rebounds.

However, it was also done with a collection of players nearing double-figures. Kalib Boone finished with nine, and John-Michael Wright and Caleb Asberry with eight apiece.

True freshman Quion Williams had the best game of his young career in Stillwater. He went 3-of-4 from the field for six points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes of play, all career-highs.

It was an incredibly slow start for the Pokes as they went 0-of-8 from the field in the first five and a half minutes of the game, trailing 6-0 before John-Michael Wright buried a 3-pointer.

The Cowboys came roaring back as they’d take the lead just a few minutes later following three quick buckets, two from Quion Williams and one from Moussa Cisse.

Tulsa would end up tying the game at 16-all on a 3-pointer by Dalger just under the nine-minute mark, but the Pokes went on a 12-0 run to extend their lead up to 28-16.

The Pokes went into the half leading 41-29 following a layup by Williams, his final bucket of the night.

Kalib Boone started the second half with an exclamation point with and and-one dunk, which was followed by a three-ball from Wright and four-quick points from Thompson.

The Cowboys were solid from the field against Tulsa as they shot 48.5% from the field, 32-of-66 shooting. They also outrebounded Tulsa 43-38 and limited the turnovers to just 13 on the game, while forcing 19 on the other end.

Next up for the Pokes is a 2 p.m. CT Sunday tilt against Prairie View A&M, which will be streamed on ESPN+.
