STILLWATER – Carrie Eberle's no-hitter and Kelly Maxwell's shutout helped No. 9/8 Oklahoma State to a pair of five-inning run-rule victories over Omaha at Cowgirl Stadium on Friday.

The Cowgirls improved to 15-1 on the season with the two wins, both of which came by identical 8-0 score lines.

Eberle's no-hitter was the second of her career. An All-American last season, Eberle was just one walk away from picking up a perfect game on Friday. Her no-hitter was the second of the season for the Cowgirls, as Maxwell threw one against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on February 21.

Speaking of Maxwell, she has now pitched seven straight shutouts and has thrown 29.1 consecutive scoreless innings dating back to last season.

In the first game, Chelsea Alexander went 2-for-3 and tied her career-high with three RBI, while also picking up a stolen base in the process.

In game two, the wind died down, which allowed the Cowgirls to hit their first two home runs at Cowgirl Stadium this season.

Chyenne Factor unloaded on a pitch in the first inning and sent it over the decks in left field for an early 2-0 lead.

Other than an RBI double by Karli Petty in the second inning, OSU struggled to plate runners on base as they left eight on base in the second game.

That all changed in the fifth inning as Hayley Busby led off the inning with a solo home run toright center field to extend the lead to 4-0.

The Cowgirls proceeded to put four of the next five runners on before Alysen Febrey hit a walk-off double to end the doubleheader.

OSU will face New Mexico tomorrow in a doubleheader, beginning at 1 p.m. CT. Both games will be televised on ESPN+.
