Oklahoma State Makes Room for More of the Recent Visitors as Alex McPherson De-commits
STILLWATER – Early Tuesday evening IMG Academy defensive Alex McPherson informed Oklahoma State he was de-committing and opening up his recruiting. The 6-5, 240 pound McPherson had an outstanding season this fall at IMG. He had made an official visit earlier and came back for an unofficial visit to Oklahoma State. Recently, Colorado had jumped in and offered and he made an official visit out there for the weekend that Colorado had a bye week.
The conventional wisdom is he will switch to the Buffaloes. A native of Florida, McPherson has been committed to Oklahoma State since June 11. He was also recruited by North Carolina State where he visited Nov. 8. He had offers from Ohio, Pitt, Michigan State, Indiana, Florida Atlantic, Buffalo, Akron, and South Florida.
His de-commitment leaves the commitments in the 2025 class for the Cowboys at 16. I would expect to see another prospect or even two added to that list before the Dec. 4 signing date.
