STILLWATER – Time to start making your plans Cowboy fans because Oklahoma State has announced the kickoff times for Cowboy football’s non-conference slate to start the 2021 season.

The Pokes will open the season at home on Sept. 4 and will start the season with a 6 p.m. night game against Missouri State. The game will be streamed via Big 12 Now on ESPN+. This is the first matchup between the two programs since the 2018 season, with Mike Gundy and Co. leading the series 8-0.

The Cowboys will host the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in Stillwater for the second-straight season, this time on Sept. 11. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. and will be televised on FS1. This game marks the third-straight year the two teams have faced each other, with the Cowboys beating the Golden Hurricane 16-7 this past season.

The Cowboys hold a 43-28-5 overall record over Tulsa.

Gundy and Co. will then make the program’s first-ever trip out to Idaho to face Boise State on Sept. 18. This will be the second night game of the non-conference slate as kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT, 7 p.m. MT and will be televised on FS1.

This marks the second time the two programs have met, with the Cowboys taking the first match up 44-21 in Stillwater back in 2018.

Kickoff times for the Cowboys’ Big 12 games will be announced as the 2021 season progresses.

YIPES... it looks like ESPN has totally abandoned us now that they have us bent over the barrel on the crappy streaming service.

It's too bad the first game won't be televised, but maybe we can architect a sell-out, which should be possible with a decent marketing effort, despite it being a holiday weekend.

I got it... how about a free year tuition to a lucky student (IN ATTENDANCE) when announced in the 4th quarter.

(lol - if you want in the lottery, then stay in your seat)!!

Normally all about importance of matchups and also the competitive tv market games/blue bloods that might be available on the same day Cal. I note there's a ton of big games on 9/18 and I don't think we're a big thing nationally going into this fall and likely Boise isn't given a ton of love by networks either. The following week Tulsa/OSU is never important to anyone except Tulsa (or the Oklahoma media when Tulsa upsets us). Suspect ESPN's flagship thinks they have better fish to fry. We just have to keep winning as usual...to earn some recognition.

yeah.. maybe.. I'm going to stick with ESPN would rather market and promote their Internet Service games, that our league was sucker into, and for which OSU must pay... we already saw it last year too, with "key" conference games relegated to the 2nd tier service as part of that deal with the devil.

I think that was part of their deal, ESPN already gets all the OOC games but thank the heavens for Fox putting a wrench in their works and picking up a couple of our OOC games.

ESPN+ is a much better alternative for me than if they could still sell it to FSN since Sinclair removed it from Hulu Live.

huh?

aren't those both internet services?

I'm not sure of what you're saying. My point was on ESPN or not on ESPN. Now that they have us over a barrel, they stopped putting us on TV.
