It appears Oklahoma State’s not quite done trying to fill out its roster for the upcoming 2021-22 basketball season.
It was reported over the weekend Mike Boynton and Co. are among a handful of programs to reach out and show interest in Marquette big man, Dawson Garcia.
Garcia entered the transfer portal back on June 25 and has already received interest from Oklahoma State, Arizona, Illinois, North Carolina and Texas among others. Garcia’s also looking into joining the G-League, as well as a possible return to Marquette.
Named to the All-Big East Freshman team this past season, Garcia checks in at 6-11, 230-pounds and Oklahoma State had a first-hand experience against him and the Golden Eagles this past season. While he had one of his worst games of the season against the Pokes, just four points, he had a stellar freshman season as he averaged 13 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest.
