Danny Godlevske Named to the Rimington Trophy Preseason Watch List
STILLWATER – Another day, another Oklahoma State Cowboy named to a national award preseason watch list. Center Danny Godlevske is one of 40 players named to the Rimington Award preseason watch list, the Boomer Esiason Foundation announced on Friday.
This is Godlevske’s fifth time to be named to the watch list.
Godlevske is one of just five players from the Big 12 named to the watch list, which is presented to the nation’s top center each season. In order to figure out who the best center is, the trophy committee worked with Pro Football Focus to narrow down its list to the top 40 centers entering the 2021 season.
A transfer from Miami (OH), Godlevske came to Oklahoma State to take advantage of an extra year of eligibility due to the one-year COVID-19 eligibility rule change. He was a three-time All-MAC performer who made 40 starts in 43 career games for the RedHawks and is expected to make an immediate impact for the Pokes in the 2021 season.
He’ll be the anchor of an offense line that returns starters and experience from the 2020 season in Josh Sills and Hunter Woodard among others.
