Watch: Mike Gundy Boise State Postgame
Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy addressed the media following Oklahoma State’s 21-20 road win over Boise State.
The win brings the Cowboys to 3-0 on the season, 2-0 over Boise State, and marked just the 11th home loss for the Broncos since the 2000 season.
Quarterback Spencer Sanders finished the game with 87 yards on 6-of-13 passing, with 15 carries for 40 yards and one touchdown.
Running back Jaylen Warren led both sides with a career-high 218 yards on 32 carries with two touchdowns.
Redshirt freshman Rashod Owens led the OSU receivers with two catches for 34 yards, but it was fellow redshirt freshman Cale Cabbiness who had the catch of the day. He hauled in a 24 yarder from quarterback Spencer Sanders on 3rd and long to secure the win for the Pokes.
Linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez led the way for the Pokes with eight total tackles, five of which were solo stops, as well as a forced fumble that was scooped up by fellow linebacker Devin Harper, leading to an OSU touchdown. Safety Kolby Harvell-Peel recorded the Pokes lone interception on the day with a pick late in the fourth quarter.
Safety Jason Taylor II kept Boise State off the board late in the game by blocking what would’ve been the go-ahead field goal with just a few minutes remaining in the game, to set up the throw from Sanders to Cabbiness.
