Following the conclusion of the OU-Texas game, the kickoff time and TV details have been announced for Oklahoma State’s road game against Texas on Oct. 16. The decision came down around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

The game will start at 11 a.m. (Central) and will be televised on FOX. It is uncertain whether FOX will bring their Big Noon Kickoff Show as Iowa is also scheduled to play at Ohio State that day on FOX.

The Cowboys are 5-0 on the season, 2-0 in Big 12 play and bumped up to No. 12 in the nation following the 24-14 win over No. 21 Baylor in Stillwater on Oct. 4.

As for the Longhorns, after the loss to Oklahoma 55-48 they’re now 4-2 on the season, 2-1 in Big 12 play. Oklahoma (6-0/3-0) will host TCU (3-2/1-1) in a game on ABC at 6 p.m. TCU defeated Texas Tech 52-31 on Saturday in Lubbock.

The Saturday football buoyed Oklahoma State’s profile for this season as the Cowboys most recent conquest Baylor (24-14 on Oct. 2) came back at home on Saturday and blew out West Virginia 45-20 to move the Bears record to 5-1 (1-1 in Big 12).Boise State traveled to play unbeaten and No. 10 BYU and t  he Broncos upset the Cougars 27-16. Of course, later in the day the Texas A&M upset of top-ranked Alabama threw the biggest curve ball into college football.

Jaylen Warren (7).

Redshirt senior running back Jaylen Warren has been a huge part of the Pokes’ success over the past three weeks. He’s currently sitting at 512 yards and six touchdowns on 115 carries, with a season-high against Boise State of 218 yards. He also has nine receptions for 122 yards.

As for quarterback Spencer Sanders, he’s sitting at 56-of-96 passing for 781 yards and five touchdowns, with 46 carries for 196 yards and two touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, the Cowboy defense has been stellar this season and a major reason OSU is 5-0. They’re holding opponents to just 18.6 points per game, as well has just 91 rushing yards and 214 passing yards per game. The defense is led by senior linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez, who currently has 54 total tackles, 31 of which have been solo stops, 5.0 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery, seven quarterback hurries and one pass break up.

yeah.... either neither of them can play defense and we have a chance, or they're both going to roll us by 3 scores.

that was some game....

I watched BYU lose to Boise.... the Cougs fumbled 3 times when it started raining, and it ended up costing them the game. Bachmeyer to Shakir for Boise was electric again.

we got lucky on that called back TD to get out of there with a W

Well now I know what I get to do on Saturday morning out in Cali next week.

Boise D is as good as they looked against us. BYU's corners are not as good as ours, and they just couldn't contain the BSU passing game.

Tech can't defend the run, TCU D is not great, but Tech beats themselves enough to help them out.

Not sure what to make of the ou/ut game, but I do like ut lost late so we could get a fast start against them, early morning game. Great situation for us. I tend towards their D's are not that great over they have amazing O's.

Texas ran out of gas and OU won the fourth quarter. Caleb Williams won't be as good in his next game and I think Rattler ends up remaining the starter. With all these upsets so far OSU should be in the top ten. BYU, PSU, and looking like BAMA, ND, and Michigan may go down tonight, OSU could end up 7th or 8th for the UT game. If we string out some wins we could be top five 8-0 going into final four games. My guess is OU moves back up to three and will most likely be undefeated at Bedlam with their remaining schedule.

With our Defense, we should have a chance in our remaining games and our Offense should jell during the next two-four games.

With parity in Big 12 doubtful any team wins them all.

Welcome back, 1slowpoke!

I didn't watch the scrimmage between UT and UT-Norman, but from what I read it sounded like the goons were a completely different offense after they put in their 5-star freshman QB. I hope that isn't a harbinger for the rest of their season. Apparently neither team played defense and that is our best hope for Bedlam.

We'll jump BYU, but not PSU or Bama. We'll probably be jumped by UK and maybe Ole Miss. We'll probably end up 12 or 13.

I'm going to guess #11

BYU will drop below us, and we'll move up one spot.

This is the "eyeball test" poll, not the "deserving" poll.

IMO, the voters don't know quite what to make of OSU, and the off-week didn't help poll movement, but they're afraid to drop us down because we keep winning.

Penn State and Bama pass the "eye-test" so it's doubtful either drop below us, IMO. ... and he media prefers to write stories about them, than about us... an the polls are mostly about the media, not the teams.

Kentucky is doing great, but they play UGA on Saturday, so I don't think the voters will move them above us, just to have to lower them back down next vote. I think it's too many spots to climb for Ole Miss to pass us, with a narrow win vs. Ark where the Hogs went for 2 instead of OT....

We'll know soon enough what the media voters think

Gumby nails it ... passed by Kentucky, we remain at 12

I thought they would at least move us up one. These polls mean nothing but it's ssdy.

it's the media, it's all about who they want to write about. This week a highly ranked Kentucky versus #1 UGA!! OMG!!

UK is likely to lose, which I thought might influence the voters, but I'm guessing they expect OSU to lose next week too, so that may have been "a push" for them.

I was going to ask,
"Honestly, does anyone really think we've done anything to deserve a Top Ten designation?". But instead I'm going to ask if we have proven a realistic Top Ten team, yet? Our defense is pretty salty. Our offense is TBD.

The pollsters have a history of placing us high only to be embarrassed the next game.

I'd suggest we hold off on glorifying our team until we see how we do against UT.
Beat them and we should be in the Top Ten and can win until we play ou.

The Sooners are a waking bear now with the freshman.
We'll need a coach with the cajones the sIze of Lincoln Riley's to beat them.
I know there are rules, but do we really want to follow them now?

It's not so much glorifying the team as it is ridiculous the way they rank people. There shouldn't be any 2 loss teams in the rankings. Who has Kentucky beat btw? An overrated Florida? Baylor looks better than the Gators. Oregon lost to Stanford. Penn state is going to lose a couple more..
