After a promising start to his rookie season, New York Giants corner Rodarius Williams is out for the season with a torn ACL.

He was injured during the game against Dallas on Sunday and the injury was revealed on Monday afternoon.

Giants head coach Joe Judge addressed the media on Monday on the injury and had expressed his desires for it not to be a season-ending injury.

"He's getting some final checkups right now and maybe we'll have an announcement for you guys later today. We'll see where it goes, but I'm hopeful for the player that it's not season-ending."

Williams finished the season with one total tackle which came in week three against the Atlanta Falcons.

Williams was drafted in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and quickly made an impact during training camp. He recorded multiple tackles and worked his way up the depth chart to make the final 53-man roster.

While he hadn’t made a huge impact yet, he was getting more and more snaps as the season went along and was getting a little bit better each week.
