STILLWATER – Oklahoma State got back on the right track following the loss to Iowa State as they rolled to an impressive 55-3 Homecoming win over Kansas Saturday evening.
The Cowboys posted 535 yards of total offense, a season high up to this point, as well as a season-high 55 points. On the other side of the ball, Jim Knowles’ defense held the Jayhawks to just 143 yards of total offense and just seven first downs.
"Obviously our team played really well tonight in all areas,” said Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy. “We were fantastic on defense and good on offense and played well on special teams. It gave us a chance to get a lot of guys on the field. We were able to put our twos in late in the second quarter and then as we got into the fourth quarter, we let some other guys play who have been a part of this team and contribute in practice every day and work hard. It was a great experience to get those guys in and let them play some. It was a good win for our guys."
