Jaylen Warren Picks Up Fifth Big 12 Weekly Honor Following West Virginia Game

STILLWATER – For the fourth time this season, Oklahoma State running back Jaylen Warren has been tabbed the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.

This marks his fifth overall Big 12 weekly honor as he earned Offensive Player of the Week following the win over Boise State. It also marks the 11th Cowboy to earn Big 12 weekly honors.

Warren carried the ball 16 times for 78 yards and one touchdown against the Mountaineers, leading all ball carriers in the game. His 13-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter effectively sealed the game for the Pokes.

On the season, Warren’s carried the ball 191 times for 928 yards and seven touchdowns. He also has 15 catches for 157 yards. He also ranks in the top 25 among FBS players in offensive touches per game, rushing yards, 100-yard rushing performances, scrimmage yards, scrimmage yards per game and 10-plus yard carries.

Well deserved. But hope Dez Jackson can make some noise this week and let Warren rest after the first half. Warren needs to be healthy and rested for OU.

That's what's been so great about the past three games, he only carried the ball 43 times. Still a decent workload, but way less than the previous games. Spencer and the receivers are starting to jell, which means less use of Warren in the run game.

I agree but if not Devin someone from the defense should have been honored since it was the strongest defensive performance in the conference (probably for the whole season to date).

My thoughts exactly Prattville. I can understand the league wanting spread the wealth a bit, but given the day, I don't see how they at least couldn't do a co-defensive player.
