Cameron McGriff Signs 10-Day Contract With Portland Trailblazers
STILLWATER – Former Oklahoma State standout Cameron McGriff got some rather good news just before Christmas as he signed a 10-day contract with the Portland Trailblazers.
This news comes in the midst of several NBA teams dealing with COVID outbreaks.
Back in September, McGriff signed with the Charlotte Hornets’ G League affiliate team, the Greensboro Swarm, and has played quite well these past few months. He’s appeared in 14 games and has averaged 10.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists a game.
McGriff signed with Okapi Aalst, a team out of Belgium, right out of Oklahoma State and had a nice rookie season. He averaged 13.5 points and five rebounds in 27 games during the 2020-21 season.
During his time in Stillwater, McGriff was one of the top players on the court as he averaged 12.3 points and 6.6 rebounds a game during his senior season. That year also included a career-high 28-points in an 83-66 Bedlam win over Oklahoma.
