Cowboys Set to Close Season Against Texas Tech on Senior Day
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is looking to send its seniors out on a high note as they face Texas Tech on Saturday for Senior Day.
Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT and will be streamed on ESPN+.
The program will be honoring two seniors during the Senior Day festivities, Isaac Likekele and Bryce Williams.
Likekele came in during the 2018 class and has had a great career as a Cowboy during his four years. He still has one year of eligibility remaining, but he told the media on Monday that he hasn’t talked to his family about it and is still undecided about his future. He’s currently averaging 8.9 points a game.
As for Williams, he transferred from Ole Miss into the program prior to the 2020 season. Since then, he’s been an integral part to the Pokes’ successes. He averaged 7.3 points a game last season and 7.9 points a game this season.
Looking at the game against the Red Raiders, it’s going to be a tough one. Tech enters this game ranked No. 12 in the country, 23-7 overall on the season and 12-5 in Big 12 play.
They’re averaging 73.1 points per game on 47% shooting from the field, while holding opponents to just 61 points a game. Tech’s led by super senior guard Bryson Williams, who’s averaging 14.1 points and 4.4 rebounds a game.
There are three other players who are averaging double digit points this season, Terrence Shannon, Jr. (10.6), Davion Warren (10.3) and Kevin McCullar (10.0).
Tech took the first of the two matchups between the two teams this season, a 78-57 win down in Lubbock. Bryce Thompson led the way in scoring for the Pokes with 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting.
