Oklahoma State Officially Releases Spring Football Schedule

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has officially released its spring football schedule, which is set to begin towards the end of March.

New DC Derek Mason teased the official release last week when he updated his Twitter account to reflect the move from Auburn, but if you were looking for a reason to subscribe to Pokes Report, Robert Allen put out the spring schedule in a premium article back on Feb. 11.

Coming off one of the best seasons in program history, there are a lot of questions going into this spring season.

However, for the first time in a few years, there won’t be a question at quarterback. Spencer Sanders is coming off his best season in Stillwater and is fresh off leading the Pokes to the largest comeback win in program history over Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.

The offensive line will have a new look to it without Danny Godlevske and Josh Sills, and the running back and wide receiver rooms will be looking to replace All-Big 12 performers Jaylen Warren and Tay Martin.

There’s a lot of young talent on the defensive side of the ball, but they’ll need to step up this year because there’s been a lot of turnover. They’ll need to replace defensive tackles Israel Antwine (draft) and Jayden Jernigan (transfer), linebackers Malcolm Rodriguez and Devin Harper, both headed to the NFL Draft, corners Christian Holmes (draft) and Jarrick Bernard-Converse (transfer), Tre Sterling (draft), Kolby Harvell-Peel (draft) and Tanner McCalister (transfer).

While you don’t get too many answers out of spring football, you do get an idea of what some of the younger guys and new additions could look like in the fall, a few of the new guys are projected as starters in the fall.

With a new look defense and a semi new look defensive coaching staff, spring football this year should be a lot of fun.
