Viktor Hovland Records Hole-in-One at The Players Championship
The golf gods were smiling favorably on Viktor Hovland early Monday morning as he recorded the second hole-in-one of his pro career. Hovland teed up and aced the 219-yard par-3 eighth hole.
Hovland’s first professional hole-in-one came during the 2020 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where he aced the par-3 14th at Monterey Peninsula Country Club's Shore Course. It also marked the second hole-in-one of the tournament, with Shane Lowry sinking one on the 17th hole on Sunday.
The former Oklahoma State star had a really solid Sunday at TPC Sawgrass. The hole-in-one was his second eagle for the round, including sinking a 22-foot putt for eagle on the par-5 second. Including the two eagles, Hovland recorded seven pars on the front nine, which concluded his round for the day, finishing with a 68 to get him to 4-under.
Hovland is currently tied for 22nd at 4-under going into the fourth and final round on Monday.
