Oklahoma State Offers Buffalo Transfer Running Back
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is still active in the transfer portal as they have extended an offer to former Buffalo running back, Dylan McDuffie.
Including a COVID year, McDuffie still has two years of eligibility remaining.
McDuffie is 6-0, 207 pounds and had a breakout season as a junior in 2021. In his first season as a starter, he led the team in rushing and was fourth in the MAC with 1,049 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also hauled in 14 receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown.
He had four 100-yard games this past season, including 166 yards and two touchdowns against Bowling Green.
In his three previous seasons, McDuffie carried the ball 32 times for 209 yards.
Things are moving quickly between McDuffie and running backs coach John Wozniak and the recruiting staff as he’ll be in Stillwater on an official visit the weekend of the spring game.
The Cowboys had a lot of success this past season in the transfer portal as Jaylen Warren had a breakout season. He was tabbed the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year after rushing for 1,134 yards and 11 touchdowns on 237 carries during the regular season. He carried the ball 19 times for 82 yards and had six receptions for 34 yards against Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.
With Warren on his way to a professional career, the Cowboys have five scholarship backs on the roster: junior Dominic Richardson, redshirt sophomore Zach Middleton, redshirt freshman Jaden Nixon and freshmen Ollie Gordon and CJ Brown.
