STILLWATER – Oklahoma State basketball has landed its second transfer commitment of the spring, this time from Louisiana-Monroe.

Russell Harrison, a 6-7, 200-pound wing, took to Twitter Monday evening to make the commitment official.

With the addition of Harrison, Mike Boynton bolstered the Pokes’ 3-point abilities for this upcoming season. Harrison, who has one year of eligibility remaining, averaged 13.1 points a game on 46% shooting from the floor this past season, which included 69 made 3-pointers at a clip of 38%.

He also hauled in 5.5 rebounds a game and had 41 assists, which would’ve tied for second on the Cowboy team this past season in rebounds and third in assists.

Harrison has spent the past two seasons with ULM, but the wing, who’s originally out of Lubbock, TX, has been all over the place. He started his collegiate career out at NAIA Wayland Baptist, before making his way to JUCO Clarendon (TX) College, before making his way to ULM.

This addition marks the second transfer for Boynton and Co. this spring, as Harrison joins High Point guard, John-Michael Wright. This brings the Cowboys up to 10 total scholarship players, with the addition of incoming freshman, Quion Williams. Should guard Avery Anderson III decide to return to school, it would put the Pokes at 11. However, with the scholarship reductions the Pokes are facing, it’s likely they’ll only use 12 this upcoming season.
