Rondel Walker Announces Transfer to TCU
STILLWATER – The last of the Oklahoma State transfers has officially announced a landing spot.
Former Cowboy guard Rondel Walker announced via his Instagram that he’s transferred and signed with Big 12 foe, TCU.
Walker, who became the fifth OSU player to enter the portal on April 29, visited both Georgia, where former Cowboy wing Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe landed, and TCU before deciding to join his former AAU team, Mike Miles, in Fort Worth.
The soon-to-be junior out of Midwest City, OK, averaged 4.8 points and 2.6 rebounds a game this past season for the Cowboys, starting in eight of the 30 games he played in. His best game of the season came against Kansas State in late Feb., as he dropped a season-high in multiple categories, including 18 points in 34 minutes on 6-of-16 shooting, including going 4-of-11 from beyond the 3-point line.
With Avery Anderson III withdrawing his name from the NBA Draft process and most likely returning to Stillwater, Mike Boynton and Co. currently sit with 12 scholarship players.
They signed three transfers, John-Michael Wright out of High Point University, Caleb Asberry out of Texas State and Russell Harrison out of ULM, as well as true freshman Quion Williams.
