STILLWATER – Oklahoma State will be hosting several top in-state prospects across multiple classes for the Texas Tech game on Saturday.

I reached out to both Muskogee 2025 QB Jamarian Ficklin and Edmond Memorial 2025 QB David McComb on Thursday morning to confirm that they’ll be in Stillwater. McComb told me that 2023 Edmond Memorial standout safety Markell Johnson will be making the trip as well.

Derek Rasmussen took to Twitter Thursday around 12:30 p.m. to announce Union 2025 QB Shaker Reisig will also be in Stillwater.

While he’s not an in-state prospect, Burleson (TX) HS 2025 QB Jamison Kitna confirmed with Pokes Report he will be in Stillwater for an unofficial visit as well.

Here’s a partial list of prospects who will be in Stillwater for the Tech game:

  • 2024 LB: Jonah Bowman – Rock Hill
  • 2024 QB: Logan Cundiff – Fossil Ridge
  • 2024 OL: Drew Cunningham – Southlake Carroll
  • 2024 OL: Trason Hunt – Bentonville
  • 2024 CB: Chris Johnson – Aledo
  • 2023 RB: Ezell Jolly – Ridgepoint
  • 2025 OL: Jesse Jone Jr. – Union
  • 2025 QB: JT Kitna – Burleson
  • 2024 DE: Bergin Kysar – Edmond Santa Fe
  • 2024 RB: Red Martel – Beggs
  • 2024 OL: Kaedin Massey – Lyndon
  • 2023 LEO: Taje McCoy – Putnam City
  • 2024 S: Willie Nelson – Longview
  • 2025 WR Jaden Nickens – Millwood
  • 2024 LB: Devon Owens – Argyle
  • 2025 LB: Cooper Parker – Bixby
  • 2024 LB: Riley Pettijohn – McKinney
  • 2025 RB:  Deondrae Riden Jr. – DeSoto
  • 2023 S: Gabriel Rodriguez – Wagoner
  • 2024 RB: Kavion Sibley – Allen
  • 2025 WR: Elijah Thomas – Checotah
  • 2025 OL: Byron Washington – Desoto

“Very excited for it,” Ficklin told Pokes Report. “This is my first game day visit, but I was up there for the spring game and a camp. Very beautiful place to be. The facilities are very nice and taken care of, so my expectations are to have fun and talk to some coaches and build a relationship.”

Ficklin is off to an incredible start to the 2022 season. He’s led Muskogee to a 5-0 record, 2-0 in 6A-II District 1 play, while putting up some incredible numbers. He’s 81-of-115 for 1,378 yards and 22 touchdowns to just two interceptions. He also has 29 carries for 145 yards and two touchdowns.

While he’s having an incredible sophomore season as a quarterback, he’s currently being scouted by several schools as a defensive back.

Muskogee is on the road Friday night, Oct. 7, as they’ll travel to Oklahoma City to face 0-5 Grant.

As for McComb, he’s got Memorial to 3-3 on the season and 2-1 in 6A-1 District 2 play. He’s currently sitting at 82-of-143 passing with 978 yards and seven touchdowns. He also has 26 carries for 247 yards and three touchdowns.

“I’m excited to go to my first OSU game,” McComb told Pokes Report. “I heard the experience is amazing. And I’m also excited to talk to coach [Tim] Rattay again because we seemed to get along pretty well at ‘The Show’ event.”

Pokes Report was at the Memorial-Santa Fe game in September and Johnson was one of the best players on the field. He finished the game with double-digit tackles, while also playing some on offense where he rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown and had three receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown.

“I expect some great football surrounded by an amazing atmosphere,” Johnson told Pokes Report. “I hope from meeting the coaches we can build a relationship to build on”

He’s very quickly climbing Oklahoma State’s recruiting board as a Cowboy Back prospect.

Memorial is also on the road Friday night as they’ll face 1-4 Yukon.
