STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has two players who earned Big 12 Players of the Week honors following the 41-34 win over No. 20 this past weekend.

Quarterback Spencer Sanders was named the Offensive Player of the Week and safety Jason Taylor II was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

Sanders was electric against the Longhorns as he finished the game going 34-of-57 for 391 yards with two touchdowns, both coming in clutch moments in the fourth quarter, one going to Brennan Presley and the other redshirt freshman Bryson Green, and one interception. He also picked up 43 yards on 11 carries.

As for Taylor II, he had one of his best games as a Cowboy. He finished with nine total tackles, all solo stops to lead the team, and two interceptions. His first one came on the third play of the opening drive of the game, which was returned 16 yards.

The second came in a situation with less than two minutes left in the game, which gave the Cowboys the ball back with a chance to seal the game. The Longhorns had all three of their timeouts remaining, allowing them to get the ball back. They picked up a couple of first downs before Ewers threw his third interception of the game, hauled in by redshirt freshman Kendal Daniels.

The Cowboys travel to Manhattan, KS, this weekend for another top-25 showdown in Big 12 play against No. 22 Kansas State. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT on FOX.
