Oklahoma State took care of business from buzzer to buzzer down in Norman for Bedlam part two as they beat Oklahoma, 71-61.

With the win, the Cowboys move to 13-9 overall, 4-5 in Big 12 play and marks the first road win in Big 12 play. It also marked the first double-digit win over the Sooners in Norman since 2004, while giving head coach Mike Boynton his 100th win since taking over the program ahead of the 2017-18 season.

Big men Kalib Boone and Moussa Cisse led the way in scoring for the Pokes with 18 points apiece, both going 8-of-10 from the field. Cisse finished with five rebounds and one block in 18 minutes. Both performances were huge as Boone only played 17 minutes.

Avery Anderson III and Bryce Thompson also finished with double figures, Anderson with 12 and Thompson with 11.

As a team, the Cowboys out-shot the Sooners 43% to 35%, while dominating on the boards, 42-32, scoring 23 second-chance points to OU’s two. They were also great in the paint as they scored 44 points down low.

There was a large number of fouls on the Pokes, 22, expect they weren’t really an issue on the scoreboard as the Pokes never trailed. The Sooners were 24-of-33 from the free throw line, while the Cowboys went just 9-of-12.

The Cowboys had just about as good of a first half as they’ve played all season as they went into the break with a 42-28 lead over the Sooners. Speaking of great first halves, Kalib Boone continued his great play as he dropped 12 points on 5-of-5 shooting from the field, 2-of-2 from the free throw line in the first half.

Both Avery Anderson III and Bryce Thompson dropped eight points apiece, with a combined five assists. Big man Moussa Cisse saw his first action since the Iowa State game with six points and three boards in the first half.

The Pokes came out in the second half with same level of intensity as the first half as they jumped up to a 17-point lead five minutes into the half, 50-33, which was combined with a near-three-minute scoring drought on the other end by Sooners.

The Cowboys were able to keep a near-double-digit lead for the next five minutes with Cisse doubling his first half total, getting him up to 12 points, with the Pokes entering the under-12 media timeout with an 18-point lead, 58-40.

The Cowboys led by as much as 22 points, 62-40, with 8:17 left in the game before the Sooners cut it down to 13 points just over four minutes left. A huge fastbreak dunk by Moussa Cisse and a dunk from Caleb Asberry extended that lead back up to 17, 69-52.

Next up for the Pokes is a Saturday home game against No. 15 TCU. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
