Oklahoma State's Kalib Boone Named Big 12 Player of the Week
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State senior Kalib Boone has been tabbed the Big 12 Player of the Week following his performances this past week.
This marks the first award for him this season and the second of his career. This is the second PotW award for the Pokes as Avery Anderson III earned one earlier this season.
Boone has been playing on a whole other level the past few weeks. He’s averaged 21.5 points and 5.0 rebounds a game as the Pokes have now won three-straight games, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and No. 15 TCU, and five of the last six games.
In those three wins, Boone went 25-of-31 from the field for 51 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and one block.
Boone will look to continue his stellar play as the Pokes play host to Texas Tech on Wednesday, February 8, with tipoff at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN+. The Cowboys are currently 14-9 overall on the season, 5-5 in conference play, looking to qualify for the NCAA tournament.
