STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s 2023 signing class is now complete as four-star power forward, Eric Dailey Jr. has signed with the program.

Dailey signed with the Pokes over offers held from Kansas, Kentucky and Michigan among others.

The addition of Dailey, who checks in at 6-7, 215 pounds, gives Mike Boynton and Co. a consensus top-15 class in the country, with ESPN giving them the No. 10 spot.

"I've known Eric for most of his life and I am beyond thrilled that he has chosen to become part of our program along his life's journey to become a pro," Boynton said in the program’s release. “Eric's parents have raised a hard-working, respectful and goal-oriented young man who possesses a high-level desire to succeed. He wants his team to win more than anything and has always been a great teammate.”

Dailey comes from IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, and played a key role in helping USA Basketball win a gold medal at the FIBA U18 Americas Championship this past summer in 2022. He was also on the roster in 2021 with USA Basketball when they won gold at the 3x3 U18 World Cup in Hungary, as well as included on the roster for the 2023 USA Men's Nike Hoop Summit.

This past summer at the FIBA U18 Americas Championship, Dailey averaged 9.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists a game while shooting 43% from 3-point range.

He joins an already stellar signing class that includes fellow USA U18 teammate, as well as McDonald’s All-American Brandon Garrison out of Del City, OK, a pair of top-150 national prospects in Justin McBride out of Plano, TX and Jamyron Keller out of Killeen TX, as well as in-state standout shooter, Connor Dow out of Broken Arrow, OK.

I hope you require zero player development or coaching.

I'm cautiously optomistic. Boynton is almost assuredly bringing a point guard in this year. Just wish the big guy would stay!

yep.... lots and lots to scratch your head about with this group.... like... can Cisse transfer AND play? Like your PG question. Like how many is Boynton going to throw away to sign kids that he might like this time?

we've now lost the core of last year's team (Anderson, Boone, Cisse, Ashberry), and coach still needs to jettison more. We once again have no experienced big men... no true point guard.

this one could be a total head scratcher all the way around.

IMO, Smith was our second best big and if you considered offense and defense, our best big. Not the defensive dynamo that Cisse brings, but a more balanced player. Sad thing, is Cisse was starting to show some offensive growth. Hope Boynton can turn him. Maybe an NIL offer would come forth from some basketball champion.
