STILLWATER – Former Oklahoma State center Moussa Cisse will play for Chris Beard as he’s announced he’s transferring to the SEC and Ole Miss.

Cisse is the next to last former Cowboy to announce where he’s playing school next season. Avery Anderson III is headed to TCU, Kalib Boone to UNLV, Tyreek Smith to SMU and Woody Newton to George Mason. Chris Harris Jr. has yet to announce a new school.

Cisse, like Newton, will need an NCAA waiver to play this upcoming season as they’re two-time transfers and not grad transfers.

This past season as a junior, Cisse averaged 6.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. He was close to averaging a double-double before getting injured against West Virginia, with 8.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. He finished the 2022-23 season with six double-doubles.

Following his sophomore season last year, Cisse was tabbed the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year as he started in 26 of 30 games and averaged 7.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

Mike Boynton and Co. are bringing in a four-star, top-30 incoming freshman prospect in 6-9 Brandon Garrison, and have already committed Jacksonville University center, Mike Marsh. There are still a few spots for Boynton and Co. to fill out of the transfer portal as they’ve also brought in East Carolina guard Javon Small and North Florida guard Jarius Hicklen.
