Debrecen, Hungary – Oklahoma State freshman Eric Dailey Jr. scored all 12 of his points in Saturday's first half as the United States breezed past Madagascar, 136-69, in its FIBA U19 World Cup opener.

Daily, a 6-foot-9 forward from Bradenton, Fla., made the start but played just 13 minutes in a game that quickly grew lopsided. He dunked three times in a 6-for-11 shooting performance and also tallied two rebounds, a block, a steal and an assist.

Daily accounted for eight of the first 11 U.S. points of the day and added four more to his tally during the team's 40-point second-quarter explosion. The Americans led 69-36 at the half and went on to set a new Team USA U19 single-game scoring mark with 136 points.

Dailey is joined in Hungary by OSU coach Mike Boynton, who is serving as an assistant on the USA staff.

The U.S. continues pool play Sunday, June 25 against Slovenia (1 p.m. CT) and Tuesday, June 27 vs. Lebanon (8 a.m.) before moving into bracket play, June 28-July 2. The Slovenians opened with a 74-58 win over Lebanon on the other half of Group B.
