Oklahoma State incoming freshman Eric Dailey Jr. dropped six points in USA Basketball’s 84-70 loss to Turkey in the third-place game on Sunday afternoon.

Dailey’s six points came on 3-of-6 shooting from the field, 0-for-2 from three-point range, as well as four rebounds, two assists, one block and four turnovers.

In seven games, Dailey’s performance was solid as he finished the 2023 U19 Basketball World Cup with an average of 9.7 points, 4.3 rebounds 1.6 assists and a total of seven blocks. OSU head coach Mike Boynton was one of the on-court assistant coaches for the Americans.

Dailey committed to the Pokes back in early January 2023 over offers from Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, TCU and Texas A&M among others.

Great experience against high level international competition. Just proves there's a ton of work ahead for our young talented freshman.

Anxious to get back to Sutton-level teams. I think we can do it. Looking forward to Mr. Dailey's development. He seems to have the right attitude. Go Pokes!

Yeah I'm more excited about Dailey after this tournament than I was before. The Big 12's a different animal, but he played well against some good talent. Plus he reclassified back a year before his senior season, so technically he's a year older, more mature and more physical than other guys in this class. So, that'll help.
