Oklahoma State Takes Five-game Win Streak Into Big 12 Opener Against Baylor

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State (8-5 overall) is riding a five-game win streak in the Big 12 opener against No. 18 Baylor (11-2 overall). 

The Pokes, who beat Tulsa, Oral Roberts, Wofford, South Carolina State and Chicago State, tip off against the Bears on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. The game will be streamed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

The Bears’ two losses on the season came against Michigan State on the road in Detroit, MI, and Duke in Madison Square Garden. They’re averaging an impressive 89.2 points per game on nearly 53% shooting from the field and 45% from 3-point range. They’re holding opponents to 69 points per game on 44% shooting from the field and just 31% from 3-point range.

They have five players in double figure scoring to start the season, with Ja’Kobe Walter leading the way with 16 points per game on nearly 45% shooting from the field and 41% from 3-point range. RayJ Dennis is next on the stat sheet with 14 points per game on 56% from the field and 43% from 3-point range.

The other three scorers in double-digits are Yves Missi (10.7), Langston Love (10.5) and Jayden Nunn (10.4).

As a team, they’re outrebounding opponents 36.4 to 28.7 and have forced 174 turnovers to 159.

As for the Pokes, they’re averaging 75.4 points per game on 46% from the field, 37% from 3-point range, while holding opponents to 66 points per game on 41% shooting from the field and 33% from 3-point range.
