Oklahoma State AD Chad Weiberg Named to the NCAA D1 Men's Basketball Committee
STILLWATER – Good news out of Stillwater as Oklahoma State athletic director Chad Weiberg has been named to the NCAA D1 Men’s Basketball Committee, which was announced on Monday. According to OSU’s release, Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark put forth the nomination for Weiberg.
Weiberg will be a part of a 12-person committee, comprised of school and conference administrators, who will be responsible for the selection and seeding of teams, as well as putting together the brackets for the men’s NCAA tournament each March.
"It's a great honor to have the opportunity to serve on the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee," Weiberg said in OSU’s release. "I'm grateful to Commissioner (Brett) Yormark for the nomination to represent the Big 12 Conference at this dynamic time in college basketball. The NCAA tournament is one of the premier events in all of sports, and I look forward to working with (NCAA Senior Vice President of Basketball) Dan Gavitt, the NCAA staff and every member of the committee to continue that legacy and provide a memorable experience for all involved."
Weiberg’s tenure on the committee is a five-year term, which begins on Sept. 1, 2024.
