Oklahoma State Reportedly Reached Out to Ohio State Transfer Dallan Hayden
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has reportedly reached out to a running back in the transfer portal from Ohio State. Steve Wiltfong of On3 reported on Wednesday morning the Cowboys were one of at least eight programs that had reached out to Dallan Hayden.
The other schools to have reached out include Auburn, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Texas A&M, UCLA and Virginia Tech.
Head coach Mike Gundy told the media last week during his weekly availability his recruiting staff constantly keeps tabs on which players are in the transfer portal, whether there’s a need at that position or not. So, reaching out to Hayden the day the spring transfer portal opened back up just means that he’s towards the top of the running back’s list.
Hayden, who checks in at 5-10, 205 pounds, had a great freshman season for the Buckeyes in 2022 as he rushed for 553 yards and five touchdowns on 111 carries in 10 games. Those numbers put him third on the Buckeye’s rushing list. He also had four receptions for 23 yards.
This past season, Hayden rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries in just three games.
