STILLWATER – Former Oklahoma State point guard Javon Small is staying in the Big 12 as it was reported on Wednesday he’s transferring to West Virginia

This past season, his only in Stillwater, Small led the Cowboys in scoring with 15.1 points on 44% shooting from the field, 37% from 3-point range and nearly 87% from the free throw line. On the season, Small scored 20 or more point six times and was one of the main highlights for the Pokes down the stretch.

New head coach Steve Lutz hosted FIU point guard, Arturo Dean, on an official visit last week, with Dean committing and signing with the Pokes before leaving campus.

Originally out of Miami, FL, Dean checks in at 5-11, 163 pounds and is coming off an impressive sophomore season this past year with the Panthers in which he led the NCAA in steals with 104 on the season. He also averaged 13.4 points on 42% shooting from the field and 30% from 3-point range. He also had 124 assists, which is impressive, but also had a really high number of turnovers with 114.

He started 31 of 32 games this past season, averaging nearly 29 minutes per game and bringing down 5.1 boards per game.
