Oklahoma State to Host Four-star Virginia Small Forward Ryan Crotty
STILLWATER – Steve Lutz and Co. have worked hard trying to land the first commit in the 2025 class and have sent offers out to all corners of the country. The latest went to Kelvin Odih, a four-star SF out of South Kent (CT) School.
Well, the Pokes are set to host a four-star small forward in the coming weeks, but this time out of Virginia in Ryan Crotty. He currently holds 16 offers, including Butler, Clemson, DePaul Harvard, Iowa, Miami, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech and West Virginia among others.
He set to visit Stillwater on August 31, Miami on Sept. 7, Virginia Tech on Sept. 28 and Clemson on Oct. 5. Getting a visit is a big step in the recruiting process, but the Pokes will have a bit of work to do ahead of them as they’re the first of the four visits.
Crotty checks in at 6-5, 180 pounds, and is an incredible shooter beyond the three-point line for Miller School in Charlottesville, VA. This past season as a junior, Crotty broke and set the all-time Virginia record, both public and private, for three-pointers made in the single season with 142. The previous record was held by Walker Andres, who made 127. His abilities from three-point range helped the Mavericks win the VISAA DII state championship.
So, it’s safe to say, Crotty is set for a big-time senior season this fall.
Crotty is currently listed as the No. 107 overall ranked prospect in the class, the No. 25 small forward and the No. 4 ranked player out of Virginia according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
