TULSA, Ok – No. 13 Oklahoma State jumped out to an early lead over Tulsa and never looked back as they beat the Golden Hurricane, 45-10.

With the win, the Cowboys move to 3-0 on the season and will play host to Utah on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Starting quarterback Alan Bowman had a great game through the first two and a half quarters of play. He went 24-of-31 for 396 yards and five touchdowns and one interception.

In step with Bowman, the receivers collectively had a great game. De’Zhaun Stribling had seven receptions for 174 yards and two touchdowns on seven touchdowns.

Receiver stats.

The run game for the Pokes was diminished as Ollie Gordon II had just 41 yards on 17 carries.

On the defensive side of the ball, it was Nick Martin who led the way for the Pokes with eight tackles and one pass break up.

De’Zhaun Stribling finally had his breakout game as a Cowboy as he scored two touchdowns, one of which came on a 63-yard reception early in the third quarter.

Freshman tight end Josh Ford also found pay dirt for the first time in his collegiate career as Bowman hit him for an 18-yard touchdown late in the first half.

Following an interception from Bowman, Cam Smith recorded his first interception of the season as he returned it 51 yards to the TU 29-yard line. It marked the second longest interception return for the Pokes this season, setting up a 43-yard field goal from Logan Ward.

Backup quarterback Garret Rangel came into the game to start the fourth quarter and got off to a hot start as he moved to the Pokes down the field with 36 yards passing and 14 yards rushing, leading to a one-yard rushing touchdown on fourth down by Sesi Vailahi, the first of his career in Stillwater, putting the Pokes up 45-0.

The Golden Hurricane kicked a field goal and scored a late touchdown to make it 45-10.
