Oklahoma State’s 2022 Recruiting Class Jumps Into Top 10 With Jordan Crook Commitment

STILLWATER – While he might not be ranked as highly as he deserves, the impact of Jordan Crook’s commitment is immediately felt as it shoots Oklahoma State’s 2022 football recruiting class into the top-10.

The Cowboys jump from No. 13 in the country to No. 10, replacing the Florida State Seminoles.

Crook marks the eighth overall commitment in the 2022 class and becomes the third-highest ranked prospect in the class, just behind CJ Brown at No. 1 and Ollie Gordon at No. 2. Currently sitting with 27 offers, Crook chose the Cowboys over the likes of Arkansas, Baylor, Michigan, Nebraska, Texas Tech, USC and Washington among others.

Checking in at 6-0, 225-pounds, Crook was a nuisance to offenses and opposing quarterbacks as a junior. He racked up an impressive 93 total tackles, 11 sacks, three interceptions and one forced fumble.

“Crook is a traditional middle linebacker in terms of how hard he attacks ball carriers. He is extremely physical but is also an extremely high-level athlete. He has the ability and versatility to play in the secondary but also has the strength and high motor to take on offensive lineman in pass rush situations, which he has excelled in.” – Marshall Levenson.

Duncanville has one of the more talented defensive units in not just the Lone Star State, but the entire country and Crook has poised himself to have an even bigger senior season.

By the time Signing Day rolls around in December, I predict Crook’s commitment will have an even bigger impact on the Pokes’ recruiting rankings.
