Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From Weber State Offensive Lineman Lavaka Taukeiaho
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State just added a second commitment out of the transfer portal in Weber State offensive lineman, Lavaka Taukeiaho.
“I’m officially a Cowboy as of yesterday,” Taukei’aho told Robert Allen over the phone. “My cost was great coming from FCS everything was awesome, facilities, playing in the Big 12. It is a great opportunity for me and my family.”
Taukeiaho was in Stillwater this past week on an official visit. He told Pokes Report he reports to Stillwater on Jan. 8.
Originally out of Bingham HS in South Jordan, UT, Taukeiaho just wrapped up his sophomore season with Weber State. He checks in at 6-4, 315 pounds and played in nine games this past season for the Wildcats. He played in four games in 2023 as a redshirt freshman.
He played at tackle but told Pokes Report he expects to play guard once in Stillwater.
“I think they are going to play me at guard,” he said. “On the visit I got to meet a lot of my teammates. Those offensive linemen, a lot of them are tall.”
The Wildcats were a fairly balanced offense this past season, averaging 418.9 yards per game, 204 yards on the ground and 214.92 passing yards per game.
He joins Tulsa transfer center, Kasen Carpenter, who committed to the Pokes on December 2.
