Report: Oklahoma State Reaches Out to Grad Transfer Out of Brown

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State basketball is in the thick of the 2024-25 season as the Pokes on their way to Morgantown for a showdown with West Virginia on Saturday. However, Steve Lutz and Co. are constantly recruiting the future as they’ve reportedly reached out to Brown grad transfer, Nana Owusu-Anane.

Owusu-Anane entered the transfer portal in 2024 and has heard from a number of schools up to this point following a great season in 2023-24.

The 6-8 wing averaged nearly 15 points and nine rebounds a game, as well as 2.1 assists as a senior last season. He shot 47% from the field and 31% from 3-point range. Free throws were a little rough as he averaged about 69% from the charity stripe.

He also recorded 41 steals, 31 blocks and his 2.1 assists equaled out to 66 assists on the season.

The Cowboys are set to lose eight players at the end of this season due to lack of eligibility, but the transfer portal will always play a role as well. Lutz and Co. have signed two high school players who will be on campus next season but expect them to hit the transfer portal heavily as they did this past spring.
