Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From Four-Star Center Ben Ahmed
STILLWATER – Steve Lutz and Co. just landed a big-time commitment in the 2025 class as four-star center, Ben Ahmed, just announced his commitment to Oklahoma State.
The announcement comes just a few days after an official visit to Stillwater.
Ahmed checks in anywhere between 6-10, 250-300 pounds, with a 7-3 wingspan, and was committed and signed to Miami (FL), but was granted his release from the NCAA early in February following Jim Larrañaga’s announcement he was stepping down as the head coach back in late December.
On3 ranks Ahmed as the No. 74 overall prospect in the 2025, the No. 7 overall center in the class and the No. 2 prospect out of Connecticut.
Ahmed plays his high school ball for Putnam Science Academy, where he’s the all-time leading scorer and rebounder, but he moved to the states two years ago from Nigeria to pursue and advance in his basketball career.
This is big get for Steve Lutz as not only Ahmed is a talented big man, but Lutz has had a lot of success recruiting and developing big men. He recruited and coached Zach Edey and has done a good job developing current Cowboy center Abou Ousmane into a solid contender in the Big 12.
Ahmed joins fellow big man Mekhi ( Muh-K-eye) Ragland and four-star guard, Ryan Crotty, who signed with the Pokes back in September.
