Oklahoma State a Four-Seed Hosting Wichita State In Opening Round of NIT

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State men’s basketball is a four-seed and will be hosting Wichita State in the opening round of the NIT in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. this coming Tuesday, March 18. 

Should they win, the Pokes will face the winner of SMU and Northern Iowa down in Dallas.

The Cowboys are coming off a 15-17 overall record, 7-13 in Big 12 play. The Shockers are 19-14 overall and 8-10 record in the AAC. They averaged 74 points per game on 45% shooting from the floor. They shot 30% from 3-point range and 73% from the free throw line. 

The Cowboys and Shockers last lined it up on Dec. 17, 2022, in the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, KS, with the Cowboys coming away with a 59-49 win.

This will be the Pokes’ first postseason appearance since the 2022-23 season when the Cowboys made it into the third round of the NIT, falling to North Texas in overtime, 65-59.
