Ferron Flavors Jr. Enters Transfer Portal

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State guard Ferron Flavors Jr. has entered the transfer portal a source has confirmed to Pokes Report. It was first reported by 247Sports.

The grad transfer averaged just 3.4 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.3 assists during 24 games in his lone year in Stillwater. He shot 31.5% from 3-point range.

Flavors came to Oklahoma State during the spring of 2020 from Cal Baptist, where he averaged 13.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. He also shot 44% from 3-point range on 212 attempts, something Mike Boynton and Co. hoped would translate during his time as a Cowboy.

Flavors also spent a portion of the 2020-21 season injured as he injured ligaments in his shooting hand prior to the start of the season.

This opens up another scholarship spot for Boynton and Co. as they move into the spring recruiting period just a few days after being eliminated from the NCAA tournament. The coaching staff will also have the scholarship spot when Cade Cunningham heads to the NBA.

However, the scholarship situation will ultimately be decided by the NCAA when they hand down a decision on the punishment appeals process stemming from the investigation into former assistant Lamont Evans.

The NCAA first announced in June of 2020 Oklahoma State would lose a total of three scholarships over the course of three seasons.
