STILLWATER – Former Oklahoma State cornerback Korie Black was selected by the New York Giants in the 7th round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon. It is believed that Black was in Waco, Texas with his family watching the draft.

The former three-sport standout at Connaly High School in Waco picked Oklahoma State over multiple offers including hometown Baylor and hisdad’s alma mater Kansas State. He went on to be a three-year starter (38 starts) for the Cowboys and he played in a school record 62 in his collegiate career.

A two-time honorable mention All-Big 12 player, Black finished his career with four interceptions, and an even 100 tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, and two fumbles caused. Black was credited with 25 passes defended.

He also blocked two field goals at OSU and returned one of those for a touchdown.

He has size at over six-foot, 192 pounds. The NFL loves big corners and especially those that can fly. Black ran a 4.35 forty at the Big 12 Pro Day at The Star in Frisco, Texas. He also had a 39-inch vertical, a 9’9” broad jump, a 4.34 5-10-5 agility drill, and 15 on the bench press rep test.
