It won’t take long for more non-conference match ups to start being announced. The Big 12 usually announces its schedule in September.
This marks the first year for the Aggies under new head coach, Bucky McMillan, who formerly coached at Samford. Steve Lutz was one of the names thrown around in the A&M coaching search. So, while it will be a different looking A&M team this year, the Aggies are coming off a Round of 32 appearance in the 2024-25 NCAA tournament, beating Yale in the first round, 80-71, before falling to Michigan, 91-79, in the Second Round.
The Cowboys have a drastically different looking team heading into 2025-26, returning just two players from last year’s roster. They’re coming off a third-round appearance in the NIT this past season.
