Oklahoma State Athletics Wins the 2024-25 Overall Bedlam Series

STILLWATER – For the 10th time in the last 12 years, Oklahoma State has beaten Oklahoma in The People of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas Bedlam Series, handing the Sooners a 15-10 defeat in 2024-25.

The Bedlam Series is calculated by straight wins and losses in head-to-head competition.

While Oklahoma State and Oklahoma have been in competition for more than 100 years, the all-sports Bedlam Series did not come into existence until the 1999-2000 academic year. In the 26 years since, OSU owns a 14-11-1 advantage over OU.

The 2024-25 season marked the first year in which the two schools competed in different leagues, but the overall results remained in line with what became the norm prior to OU’s move to the Southeastern Conference. Oklahoma has beaten Oklahoma State in all-sports Bedlam just once in the last 12 years, with OSU winning 10 and the two teams splitting the title in 2022-23.

This year’s edition of Bedlam was nearly clinched before Christmas, thanks to a 10-1 start from OSU that included a shutout win from soccer, a men’s and women’s cross country NCAA regional sweep and a 35-3 thrashing in wrestling. OU gained momentum during the winter sports, but OSU wins in the NCAA Championships in women’s tennis, women’s golf and men’s golf helped lock the 2024-25 series in favor of the Pokes.

OSU’s 2024-25 Bedlam win immediately follows a 2023-24 Bedlam Series that saw the Pokes win, 21-9, for the most lopsided Bedlam win in series history.
