Oklahoma State Promotes Brady Priess to Assistant Director of Scouting
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State men's basketball head coach Steve Lutz has announced the promotion of Brady Priess to Assistant Director of Scouting. A Claremore, Okla. native and longtime contributor to OSU Basketball, Priess (pronounced "Price") has steadily risen through the ranks in Stillwater—first as an undergraduate manager, then as a graduate assistant, and now into a full-time staff position.
"Brady is a Loyal and True Cowboy who has earned this opportunity through outstanding work and unwavering dependability," Lutz said. "He's got a great eye for detail and a real passion for the game. No question he's one of the rising stars in this profession."
In his new role, Priess will help evaluate players in the transfer portal, as well as high school and international prospects. He'll play a key role in building and managing the program's internal recruiting database and relationships with third-party scouting services. His duties also include assisting with opponent scouting during the season, coordinating official and unofficial campus visits, and supporting the team's practice analytics and film breakdown processes.
Priess first joined the Cowboys as a student manager in 2019 and served as head manager during the 2022-23 season. He went on to contribute to the program as a graduate assistant for two years, aiding in player development, defensive scouting, and operational logistics.
He completed his Masters of Interdisciplinary Studies from Oklahoma State in May 2025, after earning a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in finance and minors in accounting and energy business in 2023.
