The offseason is creeping along for Oklahoma State basketball, with little in the way of news, other than Auburn announcing a preseason exhibition with the Pokes this fall in Birmingham, AL.

With the roster for the upcoming season nearly filled, Pokes Report has learned the Cowboys have a combined NIL and revenue sharing budget of $6 million, with one player making right around $1 million.

Our source has told us $3 million was front loaded at the start of the offseason, with $ 3 million coming from the revenue sharing budget.

Steve Lutz and Co. had a very busy offseason bringing in seven players out of the transfer portal, including Kanye Clary, Chrisitan Coleman, Isaiah Coleman, Jaylen Curry, Parsa Fallah, Vyctorius Miller and Anthony Roy.

They signed Greek wing player Lefteris Mantzoukas as a true freshman, three high school players Benjamin Ahmed, Ryan Crotty and Mekhi Ragland. Those guys are added to the two returning players from last year’s roster in Robert Jennings II and Andrija Vukovic.

great information, thanks for sharing these insights.

Our fans need to understand what "league" we are in revenue wise, so we can temper (or bolster) our frustrations with the BB program. For example, that number is likely based on the emphasis that OSU places on BB success, but such as it is, may be well short of other programs that have national BB programs, but no FB team.

Stupid is as stupid does unless you actually have a take/reason. Please enlighten us.

You never share with your competitor critical information. If you ever participated in contract negotiations you would have known the basis of my statement.

I disagree. Nothing in this article was earth-shattering or overly revealing. Every program operates with a different and constantly evolving budget depending on donor support, institutional priorities, and collective structures. Knowing OSU has a $6 million budget doesn't give a "competitive advantage" to anyone else. It simply provides context for fans and stakeholders about where we stand relative to others. Transparency helps drive engagement and accountability. If anything, this is the kind of information more programs should be sharing.

Thoughts as to who is making close to 1 million? Just typing that seems ridiculous.

My guess is Clary or Curry, and yes very ridiculous for such a small sample size of success. But we overpayed Bryce Thompson.

I don't see any advantages to sharing this either. It doesn't help fans in any manner. It may stir unneeded attention from rival teams looking to meddle with players for portal acquisition. I hope Zac that coach gave this an OK or had the chance to nix disclosure.

bleh... most teams will be worrying about what they can do, and not trying to figure out what OSU is doing.
