STILLWATER – After a handful of schools announced matchups with Oklahoma State this fall, Cowboy basketball has officially announced their non-conference schedule for the upcoming season.

And they did so in a fun way, putting out a grid and had fans guess the opponents based on each grid.

One important note is the Pokes don’t have a true road game during non-con play.

  • Nov. 4 – ORU
  • Nov. 9 – Texas A&M
  • Nov. 12 – Prairie View A&M
  • Nov. 16 – Texas A&M Corpus Christi
  • Nov. 19 – South Florida
  • Nov. 22 – Nicholls
  • Nov. 27 – Northwestern*
  • Dec. 2 – Sam Houston
  • Dec. 6 – Grand Canyon*
  • Dec. 13 – Oklahoma*
  • Dec. 18 – Kansas City

The Cowboys will face Northwestern in the United Center on Thanksgiving Day as part of a CBS Sports Thanksgiving Classic with Arkansas and Duke. They’ll face Grand Canyon in Phoenix, AZ, as part of the Basketball Hall of Fame’s Jerry Colangelo Classic, and they’ll face OU at the Paycom Center as part of a Bedlam doubleheader with the Cowgirls.

Steve Lutz used to be the head coach of Texas A&M Corpus Christi, so that’s a cool matchup. And the game against Texas A&M will be a home and home, with the return to College Station taking place next season.

The Big 12 Conference typically releases its conference games in September.
