STILLWATER – While trying to put together the 2026 class, Steve Lutz and his coaching staff are going after one of the top point guards in the 2027 class. According to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.com, Lutz and Co. are set to visit five-star point guard, Tyrone Jamison, on Monday.

Jamison is out of Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport, LA, and currently holds more than 15 offers, including Arkansas, Georgetown, Iowa, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Mississippi State, SMU and Texas A&M among others.

He checks in at 6-2, 160 pounds and is the No. 24 overall prospect in the ’27 class, the No. 5 overall point guard and the No. 1 overall prospect out of Louisiana according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Would have to imagine if the coaching staff likes what they see, an offer could be extended to Jamison.

All coaching staffs at all levels and every sport is constantly working on future classes, but the 2026 class for Lutz and Co. is really important as they have several big names lined up for official visits in the coming weeks. Starting this weekend will be the top player in Oklahoma, and one of the top names at the top of OSU’s list, Owasso’s Jalen Montonati. He’s the son of former Cowboy standout, Brian Montonati.
