STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is looking to continue the hot start to the 2025-26 season as they face Oklahoma tomorrow at Paycom Center down in Oklahoma City. The Cowboys are currently 9-0 on the season, while the Sooners are currently 6-3.

The Sooners’ three losses came at the hands of Gonzaga 83-68, Nebraska 105-99 and Arizona State this past weekend, 86-70.

They’re currently averaging nearly 85 points per game on 46% shooting from the floor, 33% from 3-point range and 74% from the free throw line. They’re holding their opponents to 75 points per game on 43% shooting from the floor, 37% from 3-point range and 73% from the free throw line.

They’re outrebounding opponents 39-35, record round one more assist per game at 15.8 to 14.6 and they’re forcing nearly 12 turnovers per game to 10 on the other end, scoring roughly 15 points of the opponent’s turnovers.

Individually, they’re led by transfer guard Nijel Pack, who also played for Kansas State and Miami. He’s averaging 17.2 points per game on 50$% shooting from the floor and nearly 49% from 3-point range.

“Nijel Pack, I think is one of their leading scorers and obviously has been a ball-dominant guard who’s scored the ball at several levels for several schools for several years,” said Lutz. “But that’s not to discount [Xzayvier] Brown or Tae Davis and all those other guys, I mean [Moser’s] got a good team. It’s a different team than last year but they’re longer, they’re athletic, they can play in transition, they can shoot, they rebound the basketball at a high level, and we’ll have our hands full. It should be a fun afternoon.”

Tae Davis is scoring just over 13 points per game on 53% shooting from the floor and Xzayvier Brown is also scoring 13 points per game on 44% shooting from the floor. He’s leading the team with 31 assists.

The Cowboys will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak the Sooners as they hit the court at noon CT on Saturday, with the game being televised on FOX.
